Snoop brings the real talks.
If you have ever wondered why some people are "successful" - emotionally, spirituality, socially, at work, in friendship & love or financially (although much of long-term financial achievement is a result of achievement in these other areas) - it's because they have cultivated the emotional intelligence to see things, situations, people and, most importantly, themselves, for what & how they truly are.
Such people are at peace with themselves and the world around them. Whether a rapper, oil tycoon, entrepreneur, baker, policeman, artist, athlete, garbage man - it doesn't matter how much money they make, what their background is or what they do for a living; it is an authenticity and self-awareness that ties them together. Bill Gates is no different from Snoop is no different from Trudeau is no different from Ghandi.
And they’re not any different from you. Or from me. Because the universe exists within each of us individually, and within all of us collectively. We are all connected to a higher consciousness. These people have just understood how to tap into it and vibrate at that frequency.
They are woke.
Once you wake up, you will lose some friends and family. They won’t be able to join you on this journey because they might not understand it, and therefore feel that they no longer understand you. This is something you do for you and for you alone. No one can come with you. Snoops points this out:
"You can’t take your energy and put it into somebody…make them what you are. I had to cut a lot of n***as out because that I really felt, like, you know, man, I wonder what he doin'...I can’t worry about how they doing…but if I worry about how they doin’, then I might miss a beat, and I might miss my lines on stage…”
Close the gap or don't look back. As I have begun to wake up in my life, this has certainly been my experience with friends, family and significant others, although, slowly, new people who are also woke emerge and enter your life.
It's quite fascinating to observe. Scary at times, to be in the middle of the tornado. Who's really supposed to be there? But so long as I keep holding on to that perspective - close the gap or don't look back, this is my journey and it feels right - my mind quiets again.
So there will be no accidents in how my fortunes play out. Luck? Certainly. Accidents? No. When I am true to myself and living authentically, I can do anything I set out to do. I can make a difference in MY life and IN life.
And just the same, these souls could have done and made a difference in anything they did.
The reason such people build species-changing technologies, write beautiful poetry and compose soulful music, or inspire and lead with compassion and authenticity is because they are being true to their authentic selves. They live their lives harmony with their personal value systems, true to their soulful nature.
In each case, the output may be different, but the reasons are the same.
We are each capable of this level of achievement. Not “financial” achievement. Not “social” achievement. And definitely not “spiritual” achievement (for me, there is no spiritual “achievement” – it is not possible for anybody to be “enlightened”). No, not achievement as defined by these paradigms; I do not seek this. But achievement defined as being happy with myself; living according to my own true nature, in harmony with my personal value systems. At peace. Calm. Purposeful. Compassionate. Joyful. Powerful. Light.
Snoop is that.
